As one enters the property down reassuringly solid stone steps you are met by a distinguished water garden of resful calm as water cascades through fish pond and lotus flower features. This glass encased garden has a Buddha statue that cathes the eye as a centrepiece. Here one enters an open-plan reception room with a bar and lounge area to one side while the dining room and kitchen areas lead to the outdoor terraces and gardens. Light beige tiles are contrasted against a brown chaise longue couch and comfortable gold fabric sofa. A piano sits to one corner. A wood fireplace lends a homely feel here while upon drawing the curtains one is confronted by large patio doors framing magnificent views of Lions Head. An artists studio is located in an adjacent room with views of a mature planted garden. The L-shaped dining room has a ten-seater table while distinctive chandeliers are hung. The ideal location enables you to appreciate the fine uninterrupted views across the garden to the wooded slopes of Lions Head. The garden lawn is complemented by a crescent-shaped infinity pool and jacuzzi; from the far side one enjoys views up the the upper station of the Table Mountain cable car while paragliders descend from Lions Head in the other direction of fine seaviews. A day-bed and reclining sunloungers enable you to relax here to one side while a large L-shaped outdoor couch sits invitingly by an outdoor barbecue. Speakers are located here too should you wish to entertain al fresco and patio heaters ensure year-round use. The full-specification kitchen of Miele appliances is centred around a large black marble island with bar stools allowing for informal dining and party catering with double ovens, double fridge-freezer and a wine cooler cabinet located in a pantry. There is a separate utility room and laundry. A security unit here allows remote monitoring of all rooms.To one side there is a large lounge with wide-screen Sony television which otherwise serves as a childs playroom.
Taking steps down to the lower ground floor floor basement there is a home-cinema suite with chintz slate grey couch and computer game station. An en suite guest bedroom has large wardrobes, a shower facility and distinctive flamingo wallpaper.
The first floor has the master suite, two guest bedrooms decorated for children, a modern office area with three computer terminals and lounge off a landing passage with bookshelving display units. The large master bedroom has a wine/ plum coloured easy chair and padded footstool, a gas pebble bed flame fireplace and a large brown marble open plan bathroom enjoying views up to Table Mountain (there is also a walk-in shower). An ornate mirror here lends a touch of decadence while an antique writing desk is appealing; ample wardrobe space is available. A private balcony enjoys fine views. Off a landing television lounge with a further computer terminal there is a gym overlooking the gardens. The larger of the two childrens rooms is en suite with a double bunk bed and balcony enjoying fine sea views while the other uses a showeroom across the landing.
