| Enjoy watching the whales and dolphins, as you eat a leisurely breakfast in this Hout Bay villa, a Tuscan-inspired property with Mediterranean features and classic-styled interiors. Perched high on the hill above Flora Bay, overlooking Hout Bay beach and the harbour beyond, it is built over four levels with glorious views from balconies, terraces and high windows on each floor. Cleverly designed to make use of the sea breezes, the villa is wonderfully cool on a hot summers’ day, with the pool on a deck below the house, surrounded by shady olive trees and indigenous milkwoods – the perfect spot to laze on a lounger listening to the breakers rolling in gently all day. In fact, you can eat both lunch and dinner alfresco on this deck, as there’s a large table and outdoor seating area – beautiful too when lit at night with lanterns. The four tranquil double bedrooms are all in soothing whites and creams, with characterful armoires and other collected furnishings. Two are en suite and the other two share a bathroom. The main suite has an enormous walk-in dressing room and bathroom area opening onto a private balcony. The kitchen, dining and living areas are connected via a spacious semi-circular balcony and all have glorious views of the sea and garden below. |
