Tucked away down stairs that look out over the vast ocean as far as Table Bay harbour and Robben Island, Sea Point and the city centre, this open plan two bedroom apartment is a living space that belongs to its environment with glass sliding doors and windows that make the most of its phenomenal views and an outdoor balcony accessed via the living areas that allows guests to entertain in an open plan fashion.

Nothing is too far away from Fresnaye, a beautiful, quiet part of Cape Town located above Sea Point a bustling seaside town with a good mix of shops, banks and a post office and extremely close to the V & A Waterfront bursting with African art and craft of description and boats chugging busily through the water, Table Mountain, the city centre and in the opposite direction, the Capes renowned beaches of endless white sands and safe waters.

As one enters this home, a cream tiled, fully equipped and easily accessible kitchen is positioned to the left, a dining and living area to the right and two bedrooms and bathrooms are ahead, all complete with stylish wooden Venetian blinds and ceiling spotlights. In the kitchen, medium brown wooden cabinetry with silver handles and solid wall shelving is complemented with matt and gloss finishes, sliding windows that face Sea Point and Robben Island and an American style fridge and freezer blending in well with the living area furniture. The dining and living areas are in one with polished wooden floors and glass sliding doors that open on to a curved tiled balcony and swimming pool. A striped patterned wooden table on wheels with smart dark brown leather chairs for dining is placed beneath a set of vividly realistic photographs mounted on the wall and the living area has a dark brown leather sofa, two enormously comfortable large wicker chairs, a sofa upholstered in cream linen, a wooden television cabinet and a block style coffee table that matches the dining table complemented with an oil painting on canvas.

The first bathroom is positioned behind a glass brick wall with a shower on the other side retaining the natural light that floods into the living areas while still allowing much privacy at ease. A cream polished granite vanity area has a white round basin, wooden cupboards and a matching framed large wall mirror. Bedroom one has twin beds, fitted wooden wardrobes and a long window that faces the sea. Bedroom two is en suite with a glass wall beside the bathtub as the divider between the bathroom and bedroom, a fitted stone vanity area with a sunken round white washbasin and large framed wall mirror, a big glass shower and a glass brick strip on the wall. The bedroom has a double bed with a brown suede headboard, wicker baskets set into wooden bedsides and glass sliding doors that open on to the curved swimming pool.

A marvellous place to be, snug in this modern house, looking out at the Atlantic Ocean and the clouds passing by.
